Blue Cheese is a variety that never leaves anyone indifferent. It is an 80% Indica/20% Sativa hybrid that has everything any grower is looking for.

It is a feminized variety from which you will obtain only female plants, so it is ideal for beginners who are not very clear to differentiate the sex of cannabis plants.

Genetics

Blue Cheese is one of the most recurrent hybrids, as there are many banks that, starting from different selections, offer versions with similar characteristics, such as Blue Cheese from Barney’s Farm.

It is a cross between a Blueberry mother and the elite clone UK Exodus Cheese. From the former it inherits its unmistakable aroma of berries, while from the latter it inherits its intense smell of cured cheese.

How to grow Blue Cheese

It is a very resistant variety and easy to grow both indoors and outdoors. Its rather compact size allows it to be adapted to small spaces such as terraces or grow rooms.

When germinated outdoors in early spring, it is possible to obtain specimens that rarely exceed two meters in height. But yields are very high considering their size.

Depending on the latitude, flowering begins between the end of July and the beginning of August. It will be harvested during the second and third week of September.

Indoors, Blue Cheese adapts to any cultivation technique. It is especially appreciated in SOG cultivation when you have a mother that provides the necessary amount of cuttings.

It has a flowering period of 60-65 days. In the last 3-4 weeks and due to its Skunk heritage, the smells are very intense. The use of a good anti-odor system is recommended to avoid problems.

Characteristics of Blue Cheese

It produces large, compact and very resinous buds. Because of its great return, it is a very appropriate variety for the elaboration of the most delicious hash.

A clear and intense aroma and flavor of blueberries and strong cheese dominates. There are also very sweet, spicy and earthy touches that linger on the palate for a long time.

The effects of this weed are powerful, cheerful and prolonged, that make doubt if it is an Indica or Sativa variety. At the beginning it produces euphoric sensations inherited from its Sativa genes that soon derive in a deep relaxation typical of good Indica.

Outdoors, with favorable conditions and in larger plants, Blue Cheese has a production that will approach the kilo per plant.

Indoors and in optimized crops, yields will exceed 600 grams per m² without any problem. For this we recommend SOG cultivation in pots of maximum 3 liters.
