What are the countries of the European Union (EU) and the SEPA zone?

The European Union is composed of the following countries: Germany, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Czech Republic, Romania, and Sweden. All these countries are part of the SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area), which allows euro transfers quickly and efficiently. In addition to the EU countries, the SEPA zone includes the following countries: Andorra, Vatican City, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, United Kingdom, San Marino, and Switzerland.

Transfers from these countries can be immediate or take at most 1 or 2 business days. Fees are usually very low or even, in some cases, free, depending on the conditions of each bank.
