CBD Swiss Chocolate is one of our new varieties rich in cannabidiol and with practically no THC, as the levels of this cannabinoid are kept below 0.25%. It is perfect for anyone looking for the benefit of CBD, but without the typical psychoactive effects of marijuana.
For its development we started with genetics that came into our hands more than 20 years ago. Its origin is uncertain, although it seems to be of Kush descent. Its intense chocolate flavour led us to call it Swiss Chocolate. Our mother with a higher CBD content was the other key piece and we got the offspring to show stable and very, very low THC levels.
How to grow CBD Swiss Chocolate Fem
It is an easy strain to grow indoors and outdoors, very vigorous and with a typical spruce structure, with numerous satellite branches orbiting around a large apical.
Outdoors, when germinated in early spring, it reaches a great height of 2.5-3 metres, with large leaves and medium internodes.
The flowering time is short and will be harvested during the first half of October. Some phenotypes are even faster and will be ready by the end of September.
Indoors it adapts to any cultivation technique, especially SOG cultivation when a columnar and less branched mother plant is selected.
When flowering begins, the odours become very pungent. If you want to avoid problems, you should install a good carbon filter. From the change of photoperiod, it will be harvested in about 8-9 weeks.
Characteristics of CBD Swiss Chocolate Fem
The buds are big, rock hard and mega-resinous. Any extraction enthusiast will enjoy making the most delicious hash or BHO.
The aroma and flavour are true to its mother Swiss Chocolate, with intense hints of chocolate and some earthy, citrusy undertones.
The CBD level is always around 15%, while the THC level is between 0.20% and 0.25%. The psychoactive effects are non-existent, but it causes a feeling of relaxation and well-being that does not prevent any kind of activity.
Yields are very high and on larger plants you can expect up to 900 grams. Indoors it won’t be difficult to get around 550 grams per m² with a 300-350W LED luminaire.
