Grapefruit is a feminized marijuana strain famous for its delicious grapefruit and pineapple flavor, which has helped it to win some important awards.
Its origin is uncertain, although some very reliable sources point out that it is a cross between Cinderella 99 and a Thai Sativa.
From the Cinderella 99 it may inherit its characteristic sweet pineapple flavor, while the Thai genes tend to bring vigor and very tropical touches.
It is a variety that has many versions, from banks like Reeferman to Dinafem or Female Seeds. It also has great reviews on websites such as Seedfinder and Feafly.
How to grow Grapefruit
It is a variety that does not complicate the grower’s life. No matter how much of a beginner you are, you are guaranteed to get a spectacular result.
Indoors, due to its Sativa dominance, it tends to stretch quite a bit once the growth phase is over. We advise you to use a cultivation technique to reduce the height such as SCROG or a simple apical pruning.
The flowering period is very short and from the change of photoperiod it is harvested in only 50-60 days. At this stage the smell of the flowers is delicious, but also very intense.
Outdoors, when it has enough space, it grows into a tree of up to 3 meters, with long and flexible branches that will be filled with beautiful and resinous buds.
It is harvested in mid-October, so it is perfect for areas where the beginning of autumn is dry. Mild temperatures will also help to preserve its incredible aroma.
Characteristics of Grapefruit
The buds are large, compact, with few leaves and shiny due to the large amount of resin they accumulate. At the end of flowering, it is advisable to stake the branches so that they break under the weight.
The flavor and aromas are great and its great hallmark. An intense citrus flavor like sour grapefruit merges with the sweetness of ripe pineapple that will make your taste buds enjoy like never before.
The effects are powerful, like an injection of energy and positive vibes that will keep you happy and laughing for long hours.
And finally, the yields are very high. Outdoors you can expect and in the specimens germinated in early spring that reach greater height, you can expect 700 to 900 grams per plant.
Indoors and with lighting that we recommend 300W to 350W of LED per m², yields will range between 450 and 550 grams.

had 5 plants outdoor in Bavaria in 2023. Harvest in beginning to middle of October, plants grew up to 2,7m and yield was 350g/plant. The aroma was less sweet than C99 and not to strong. I estimate their potency a little bit lower than C99, but they bring a very good yield with very, very low mold. All in all is it very recommendable strain and i will grow them again.
