Alien OG doesn’t do anything halfway: it shows up with a signature of pine, sour lemon and a kush base that comes through as soon as the buds start to tighten up. It's a photoperiod hybrid bred from Tahoe OG Kush and Alien Kush, with that sturdy, resinous and highly aromatic OG character.
The plant shows a balanced structure, although some phenotypes may lean toward an indica expression. It forms dense, hard flowers loaded with trichomes, with orange pistils, mint-green or olive tones and, in some plants, purple hues.
Its profile is straightforward: lively citrus up front, fresh pine in the middle and an earthy, woody, spicy base that leaves no doubt about its roots. If you're after Alien OG seeds with a classic aromatic presence and compact buds, this cross has plenty to offer.
In our breeders’ trials, Alien OG has proven to be a strain of moderate difficulty. It prefers warm, sunny or mild climates and needs serious ventilation indoors, especially late in flowering, when the flowers tighten up and resin production climbs.
It can stretch a lot during flowering, even doubling in height, so it pays to get it under control early with topping, LST, light defoliation or a trellis net. It responds well to moderate-to-heavy feeding, with attention to calcium and magnesium during veg and the transition. Growers point out that after around four weeks of curing the buds turn dense and hard, like little nuggets, and that it produces big, very compact colas with a strong kush flavor.
Alien OG usually kicks off with a fast, euphoric and bright head high. Perception sharpens, mood lifts and a fairly intense mental clarity sets in. Then comes a gradual, warm and heavy body relaxation, better suited to the afternoon or evening, music, movies or chilling at home.
It's not the gentlest choice for beginners or anyone with low tolerance. Its strength can feel overwhelming if you overdo it, and many describe it as a strain that starts active and ends with the body feeling well grounded. On the nose, people mention earthy and woody notes, along with pine, lemon, skunk and a pleasant spicy finish.
The experience is like walking through a pine forest after the rain, with damp earth underfoot and a spark of sour lemon cutting through the air. Then the kush weight arrives, like a slow blanket sliding from your head down onto the couch.

Alien OG is described as a balanced hybrid, 50% indica and 50% sativa. Some phenotypes may show a more indica structure and a heavier physical finish.
It's not the best choice for beginners. It's moderately difficult to grow and very potent, so it's a better fit for growers and smokers with some experience.
Indoors, Alien OG usually finishes flowering in 8-10 weeks. The most common window is 9 to 10 weeks, especially if you want full, resinous maturity.
