Amnesia is a legendary strain, famous for its powerful head high and delicious tropical fruit and incense flavor. With 18–20% THC and a generous yield, it's perfect if you want quality and performance. Find out why so many growers call it a favorite.
Amnesia takes you right back to the charm of the Dutch old school. This strain is famous for its legendary roots, descending from Greenhouse's Super Silver Haze. With a mostly sativa lineage, it has won a long list of awards and cups over the last 20 years and become one of the most widely grown strains in the cannabis world.
With a sturdy, well-branched frame, Amnesia is an imposing plant that can reach about 11.5 feet tall outdoors. Its buds are huge and slightly fluffy, though more compact than airy. They're coated in a thick layer of resin that glistens under the light, a lime-green show dotted with orange pistils.
The aroma of Amnesia is a full sensory experience. Open a jar and you're greeted by intense notes of incense, wood and a sweet, fruity fragrance that brings to mind forests and ripe fruit. With every pull, the flavors unfold in perfect harmony and leave a long, pleasant aftertaste.
With THC between 18% and 20%, this strain delivers an energetic euphoria that lifts you up and puts you in a great mood. It's perfect for when you need a creative boost or just feel like a good laugh. Its low CBD level (under 1%) keeps the effect focused on mental stimulation and gentle relaxation.
The effect of Amnesia is as unforgettable as its name suggests. It keeps you going for a long time, with a slow comedown that leaves a light, relaxing feel, ideal for switching off at the end of the day.
The terpenes in Amnesia drive its aroma and its distinctive effect. The most notable include:
These terpenes boost the flavor and aroma of Amnesia and also shape its effect, making it a complete, versatile option for any grower and smoker.
Amnesia pays back whoever grows it, with remarkable yields both indoors and outdoors. In ideal indoor conditions it can produce 1.6 to 2 oz per square foot, making it an excellent choice if you want to get the most out of your grow space.
Outdoors, Amnesia shows its full potential, with impressive yields of up to 39 oz (about 2.4 lb) per plant. That huge yield comes from its toughness and its ability to make the most of the sun, as long as it gets the right care.
As for flowering, Amnesia is fairly quick for what it is. Indoors, its flowering cycle lasts 70 to 77 days, a relatively fast harvest for a sativa-dominant strain. Outdoors, expect to harvest between mid and late October, and in some cases into early November.
Growing Amnesia can be very rewarding, but keep in mind that, because it's sativa-dominant, it isn't the easiest plant for beginners. Even so, with a little care and the right techniques, you'll get impressive results.
Difficulty: moderate. We recommend this strain to growers with some experience, although if you're new and eager to learn you can still grow it successfully.
Ideal climate and growing conditions: Amnesia thrives in warm, sunny climates like California's or the Southwest's. Indoors, keep daytime temperatures between 68 °F and 81 °F, with slightly cooler nights. The plant prefers relative humidity of 55–60% during veg, dropping to around 40% in flower.
Pest and disease resistance: Amnesia is known for its natural resistance to common pests and diseases, which makes it easier to manage. Even so, we recommend keeping your grow clean and keeping an eye on your plants to head off any problems.

Amnesia starts flowering between mid-July and early August. It can shift by a few days depending on where you live in the US, which is normal for any strain.
This strain has a medium to long flowering period, typical of Haze hybrids. It's harvested from mid-October on, so it isn't the best choice for areas with a rainy early fall, like the Pacific Northwest or the Northeast.
Amnesia isn't a particularly demanding strain and forgives quite a few mistakes if you give it a bit of attention. Given enough room, it will grow into a large plant. Where height is limited, some pruning or branch training is a good idea to keep its growth in check.
At Bulk Genetics we work with seeds of proven quality. Amnesia is one of the most complete sativas around: resilient, rewarding, highly productive and potent. Everything a grower could ask for.
Amnesia is a mostly sativa strain. Sativas tend to be tall and slender, with narrower leaves, and give an energizing, heady effect. Indicas, on the other hand, are shorter and stockier, with broad leaves, and their effect tends to be more relaxing and body-focused. Amnesia combines vigorous growth with a stimulating effect that keeps you active and creative.
