OG Kush is most likely a Chemdawg x Lemon Thai/Hindu Kush cross developed on the West Coast, in California. According to one of the most popular theories, OG stands for Ocean Grown: a Kush grown by the ocean.

Its vegetative phase is very short: 3-4 weeks after germination it starts to flower. During that time you want the plant to grow as much as possible, which is why many growers put it straight into a large pot on day one to avoid the usual stall after transplanting.
It's also very fast: it's ready to harvest in a total of 70 days from germination. Outdoors you can run up to 3 back-to-back crops over the season.
The buds aren't especially large, more medium-sized, like golf balls. But there are lots of them, and they're particularly compact and super sticky. Here in the US it's a classic choice for making BHO and rosin.
The aroma and flavor stay true to its OG Kush mother: citrusy lemon notes dominate, with the classic sour, fuel-like touch of the Chemdawg hybrids.
The psychoactive effects are mild to moderate. THC ranges from 5 % to 10 %, while CBD ranges from 10 % to 15 %. It brings a happy sense of well-being, with pleasant body relaxation and no couch-lock.
As for yields, outdoors and with the largest plants you can expect up to 5 oz of buds per plant. Indoors you'll get 1.3-1.5 oz per sq ft without much effort.
