Tangie feminized seeds

The first thing that hits you about Tangie isn't its potency but its scent: freshly opened tangerine, sweet orange zest and tropical fruit over an herbal, skunky base that gives it body. It's one of those genetics you recognize before you even see it.

It comes from a cross between California Orange and Skunk, reworking the citrus spirit of the '90s Tangerine Dream with more vigor, resin and aroma. In the grow room it shows clear sativa dominance, with slender leaves, long internodes and an upright structure that needs room.

The buds usually show deep greens and lime tones, orange and reddish pistils and a generous coat of trichomes. That mix of terpenes and resin makes these seeds especially appealing if you want aromatic flowers or citrus-forward material for extracts.

How Tangie performs in the grow room

Tangie is of intermediate difficulty. Our breeders treat it as a vigorous sativa: it stretches when flowering begins, responds well to topping, LST, SCROG or stakes, and needs good airflow to keep the buds clean and well ventilated.

Indoors it usually finishes flowering in 9–10 weeks and can yield around 1.5–1.8 oz per square foot. Outdoors it prefers warm, dry climates like California's or the Southwest's, with low humidity at the end of flowering to protect its most volatile terpenes. A practical tip: don't overload it with nitrogen during flowering; balanced feeding and measured watering work better.

Tangie effects

Tangie's effect is heady, cheerful and active. It comes on clearly and gets you chatting, focusing and moving, without the heavy feeling of more indica-leaning strains. It works really well during the day, for creative tasks, walks or whenever you want some mental energy.

Even people who are sensitive to sativas tend to find it surprisingly gentle: subtle energy, good mood and focus, without the jittery, racing feeling that edgier genetics can sometimes bring. Its flavor, smoke and smell also stay true to the same intense tangerine line.

Its sensory profile is like peeling a tangerine over a wooden table: the citrus peel bursts out first, then the ripe sweetness comes through, and finally that earthy, spicy and skunky touch lingers, keeping it from being just plain juice.

Frequently asked questions

What customers ask us most about Tangie.

Questions about shipping, payment or guarantee?
See our help page

Is Tangie indica or sativa?

Tangie is clearly sativa-dominant, with genetics described as 70% sativa and 30% indica.

Is Tangie suitable for beginners?

Growers with some experience can handle it, but it isn't the easiest choice to start with. Its stretch needs to be controlled with topping, LST, SCROG or stakes, so it's better suited to an intermediate level.

When is Tangie harvested outdoors?

Outdoors it's usually ready between late September and October across most of the US, depending on your climate and the phenotype.
