Jack Herer was created by Sensi Seeds as a tribute to the American activist of the same name. It brings together three of the most influential genetics ever: Skunk #1, Haze and Northern Lights #5. The result is one of the finest plants ever bred.
Our Jack Herer comes from a female and a male selected for speed, yield and potency. And on top of that, these seeds are among the cheapest you’ll find.
It’s a very easy plant to grow, with wide, fast and very vigorous growth. With hardly any effort you get big harvests, something every grower appreciates.
Outdoors, if you start it early in spring and give it enough room, it can reach 10 feet tall. Its structure is a classic pyramid, with long, thick branches that can barely hold the weight of the flowers.
It has a medium flowering time and is harvested in the second half of October. It’s not the best choice for short-season areas like the Pacific Northwest or the northern states: it prefers drier climates like California or the Southwest.
Indoors, its strong sativa heritage makes it stretch quite a bit. Growers usually turn to techniques such as SCROG, using pruning or branch training to keep it at a more manageable height.
Once you flip the lights to flowering, about 10-12 weeks will pass before you can harvest some truly impressive buds. Its Skunk genes make the smell very intense.
The yield is huge. Outdoors the biggest plants reach over 2 lb each. Indoors you can get up to 2.1 oz per square foot with 300-350 W of LED lighting.
The buds are enormous, very resinous and rock-hard. They’re also fairly easy to trim, since they have few leaves, and they make a seriously tasty hash.
It has an old-school aroma and flavor, with spicy, piney wood notes in most phenotypes. A few show more citrusy notes.
