It's an indica-dominant hybrid whose exact genetic origin is unknown. The most widely accepted version says it's a cross of Chemdawg and Lemon Thai/Hindu Kush.

It's a plant that needs little care, with vigorous growth and great hardiness. Its structure tends to be columnar, without wide branching.
Outdoors, if you germinate it in early spring, it reaches an impressive 8-10 feet. Growers often top it to keep it shorter and bushier.
The flowering time is short and it's harvested between the first and second week of October. Although it prefers warm, dry climates like California's, it adapts to milder temperatures.

Yields are high: outdoors you can expect up to 32 oz (2 lb) per plant. Indoors, under a 300-350 W LED, you'll get up to 1.6 oz per sq ft.
