Amnesia Lemon

Amnesia Lemon is a true genetic gem straight from Amsterdam. It won the prestigious Cannabis Cup in 2004 and has since become a firm favorite with growers and smokers alike. Can you picture a cross between the legendary Amnesia Haze and the vibrant Lemon Skunk? That's how Amnesia Lemon was born: a hybrid that brings together the best of both worlds in a hardy plant packed with flavor.

Visually, Amnesia Lemon is a medium-height plant, growing to 39–43 inches indoors and up to about 8 feet outdoors. Its buds are dense, resinous and a striking emerald green with orange pistils. By the end of flowering they're coated in a layer of trichomes that gives them a crystal-like sheen, as if dusted with light frost.

This plant isn't just good-looking; it delivers on yield too. Amnesia Lemon is a very generous strain, perfect for beginners and experienced growers alike. Its easy growth and solid yields make it stand out in any grow.

Flavor and effects

The flavor of Amnesia Lemon is a burst of citrus and sweetness from the very first hit. You'll be wrapped in intense notes of lemon and spice, with a sweet touch that recalls tropical fruit. It's a unique profile that sets it apart from other strains and makes it an instant favorite.

When it comes to effects, Amnesia Lemon doesn't disappoint. With THC from 18% to 21% and a low CBD level of 2%, it delivers a cerebral, energizing high, perfect if you're looking for a creative boost and a lifted mood.

It's ideal for hanging out with friends or creative projects, bringing a sense of euphoria and well-being. The effect is cheerful and upbeat, with a bright, positive mood, and some users also describe a pleasant body relaxation once the high settles in.

Amnesia Lemon terpenes

The terpenes in Amnesia Lemon play a key role in its aroma and its effect. The most prominent include:

• Limonene: behind the fresh citrus aroma, it's associated with a cheerful, uplifting high.
• Caryophyllene: adds a spicy note to the flavor, a peppery touch that rounds everything out.
• Myrcene: brings an earthy, musky aroma typical of the more relaxing strains.
• Linalool: with its floral scent, it's typical of mellow, calm strains.
• Alpha-pinene and beta-pinene: with their fresh pine scent, they often show up in clear-headed, focused strains.

Thanks to this rich blend, Amnesia Lemon offers a unique sensory experience and a well-rounded effect, making it a perfect choice if you want a balance of flavor, aroma and effect.

Yield and flowering time

Amnesia Lemon stands out not only for its flavor and effects but also for its remarkable productivity. It suits beginners and seasoned growers alike, thanks to its easy growth and generous yields.

Indoors, Amnesia Lemon has a fairly short flowering time of 8 to 10 weeks. In that time it can produce 1.6 to 2 oz per square foot. You can push yields further with techniques such as ScrOG (Screen of Green), which creates an even canopy and lets the light reach every part of the plant more effectively.

Outdoors, Amnesia Lemon performs exceptionally well too. You can expect around 28 oz per plant (about 1.75 lb) in ideal conditions. Harvest comes in mid-October, so it's best suited to areas with a long growing season. Out in the open, Amnesia Lemon can reach about 8 feet tall, developing dense, resinous buds that guarantee a top-quality harvest.

How to grow Amnesia Lemon

Amnesia Lemon is a strain we recommend to new and experienced growers alike for its easy growth and toughness.

In terms of difficulty, growing Amnesia Lemon is fairly straightforward. It's a resilient, adaptable strain, which makes it an excellent option if you're just getting started with cannabis.

For the best results, grow Amnesia Lemon in the right climate. It prefers mild to warm, dry climates like California's, although it can also do well in cooler regions if conditions are right. If you grow it outdoors, give it a warm, sunny spot in your backyard.

Pest and disease resistance is another strong point of Amnesia Lemon. It holds up remarkably well against many common problems, such as mites and mold. Even so, it's good practice to keep your grow space clean and check your plants regularly to avoid surprises.
