Acai Gelato

Acai Gelato, also known as "Acai Berry Gelato", is a sativa-dominant hybrid (70% sativa, 30% indica) born from the union of two delicious genetics: Pink Panties and Sunset Sherbet. This stellar pairing has produced a strain that is not only a treat for the palate but a complete sensory experience.

Acai Gelato buds are a sight to behold. These dense, compact flowers show a vibrant olive green with subtle purple hues, decorated with fine orange hairs and a layer of tiny deep amber trichomes that give them a sparkling look. Growers and enthusiasts know these buds stand for quality and potency.

Flavour and effects

The aroma and flavour of Acai Gelato are a feast for the senses. From the first puff, a symphony of sweet, creamy berries unfolds, with a tropical tang that lingers on the palate. It is like savouring an exotic dessert on a paradise beach.

The effect of Acai Gelato is as bright and stimulating as its flavour. With THC between 18% and 23%, it brings instant euphoria and a wave of cerebral energy. Ideal if you need a boost of creativity and motivation: Acai Gelato clears the mind and fills it with sharp, productive focus. Perfect for getting through the day’s tasks without feeling overwhelmed.

Acai Gelato terpenes

The aromatic richness of Acai Gelato comes from its complex terpene profile. The dominant terpenes are limonene, myrcene, beta-caryophyllene and alpha-bisabolol. This unique blend not only shapes its delicious aroma and flavour but also influences its effect.

Limonene brings a citrusy, energising touch in keeping with its cheerful effect. Myrcene adds earthy, fruity notes and a relaxing edge without weighing you down. Beta-caryophyllene introduces a spicy, peppery nuance, and alpha-bisabolol adds a gentle floral touch associated with a calm mood.

Together, these terpenes create a balanced, many-layered experience, ideal if you want a high that lifts you and relaxes you at the same time. Its profile also contributes to mental clarity and a steady mood, making Acai Gelato an excellent choice for any time of day.

Yield and flowering time

Acai Gelato is not only a delight for the senses but also a generous plant. Whether you grow it indoors or outdoors, it promises satisfying yields for growers of every level.

Indoors, Acai Gelato can reach a considerable height, so you will need enough vertical space. Flowering takes around 60 days and delivers a harvest of between 450 and 550 g/m². The key to maximising indoor yields is a warm, dry environment and good light exposure.

Outdoors, Acai Gelato loves warm, humid climates, ideal for its sativa character. Plants can reach impressive heights of up to 3 metres, with a yield of roughly 700-800 g/plant. Harvest usually comes in early October.

Whatever the growing method, Acai Gelato rewards you with dense, resinous buds packed with the flavours and effects that have made it so popular. Its ability to adapt to different conditions makes it a great option for any cannabis garden.

How to grow Acai Gelato

At Bulk Genetics we know that growing Acai Gelato can be a challenge, but the results are worth every effort. It is ideal for growers with some experience, as it needs specific attention and care to reach its full potential:

Acai Gelato is of medium to high difficulty. Its sativa-dominant genetics mean the plants can grow quite tall, so keeping them in check with pruning and proper training is essential.

It thrives in warm, humid climates. Outdoors, it is best grown in areas with stable, pleasant temperatures throughout the season. Indoors, you need to recreate those conditions with good temperature and humidity control. A high-quality LED lighting system is also key to making sure the plants get the right light.

Although Acai Gelato is fairly resistant to common pests and diseases, prevention is always better than cure. A clean, controlled environment with good air circulation helps minimise risks. Watching for early signs of pests and acting quickly is key to keeping your plants healthy.
