Amnesia
Amnesia is a legendary variety, famous for its powerful cerebral effect and delicious tropical fruit and incense flavour. With 18–20% THC and a generous yield, it's perfect if you're after quality and performance. Discover why it's a favourite with so many growers.
Amnesia will take you back to the charms of the Dutch old school. This variety is famous for its legendary origins, descending from Greenhouse's Super Silver Haze. With a mostly sativa lineage, it has won numerous awards and cups over the last 20 years and established itself as one of the most widely grown varieties in the cannabis world.
With a sturdy, well-branched structure, Amnesia is an imposing plant that reaches up to 3.5 metres tall outdoors. Its buds are huge and slightly fluffy, though more compact than airy. They're coated in a thick layer of resin that glistens under the light, a lime-green spectacle dotted with orange pistils.
Amnesia flavour and effects
The aroma of Amnesia is a sensory experience that wraps around you. Open a jar and you'll be greeted by intense notes of incense, wood and a sweet, fruity fragrance that brings to mind forests and ripe fruit. With every draw, the flavours unfold in a harmonious dance that leaves a long, pleasant aftertaste.
With THC between 18% and 20%, this variety delivers an energetic euphoria that lifts you up and puts you in a great mood. It's perfect for when you need a creative boost or just fancy a good laugh. Its low CBD level (under 1%) keeps the effect focused on mental stimulation and gentle relaxation.
The effect of Amnesia is as unforgettable as its name suggests. It keeps you very active for a long time, with a slow comedown that leaves a slight relaxing feel, ideal for switching off at the end of the day.
Amnesia terpenes
The terpenes in Amnesia are responsible for its aromatic profile and distinctive effect. The most notable include:
- Limonene: adds a refreshing citrus touch and is associated with a cheerful, upbeat mood.
- Myrcene: with its damp-earth aroma, it's typical of varieties with a relaxed effect.
- Beta-caryophyllene: with its spicy, peppery aroma, it adds a warm touch that rounds off the flavour.
- Alpha-pinene: offers fresh pine notes and is associated with a clear, alert feel.
- Eucalyptol: brings a fresh, minty nuance that completes the bouquet.
These terpenes not only enhance the flavour and aroma of Amnesia but also shape its effect, making it a complete, versatile option for any grower and smoker.
Amnesia yield and flowering time
Amnesia generously rewards whoever grows it, with remarkable yields both indoors and outdoors. In optimal indoor conditions it can produce between 500 and 600 grams per square metre, making it an excellent choice if you want to get the most out of your grow space.
Outdoors, Amnesia shows its full potential, with impressive yields of up to 1100 grams per plant. This extraordinary yield comes from its sturdiness and its ability to make the most of the sun, provided it gets the right care.
As for flowering, Amnesia is fairly quick for what it is. Indoors, its flowering cycle lasts 70 to 77 days, a relatively fast harvest for a sativa-dominant variety. Outdoors, you can expect to harvest between mid and late October, and in some cases into early November.
How to grow Amnesia
Growing Amnesia can be a very rewarding experience, but bear in mind that, because of its sativa dominance, it isn't the easiest plant for beginners. Even so, with a little care and the right techniques, you'll get impressive results.
Difficulty: moderate. We recommend this variety to growers with some experience, although if you're new and keen to learn you can still grow it successfully.
Ideal climate and growing conditions: Amnesia thrives in warm, sunny climates such as the Mediterranean. Indoors, it's key to keep daytime temperatures between 20 °C and 27 °C, with slightly lower night-time temperatures. The plant prefers relative humidity of 55–60% during the vegetative stage, dropping to around 40% in flower.
Pest and disease resistance: Amnesia is known for its natural resistance to common pests and diseases, which makes it easier to manage. Even so, we recommend keeping a clean environment and an eye on your plants to prevent any problems.

Frequently asked questions
What customers ask us most about Amnesia.
Questions about shipping, payment or guarantee?
See our help page
When does outdoor Amnesia start flowering?
Amnesia starts flowering between mid-July and early August. It can vary by a few days depending on latitude, which is normal for any variety.
When should you harvest outdoor Amnesia?
This variety has a medium to long flowering period, typical of Haze hybrids. It's harvested from mid-October onwards, so it isn't the best choice for areas where early autumn is rainy.
How do you grow feminised Amnesia?
Amnesia isn't a particularly demanding variety and forgives quite a few mistakes if you give it a bit of attention. Given enough space, it will grow into a large plant. Where height is limited, some pruning or branch training is a good idea to keep its growth in check.
What are the characteristics of Amnesia?
At Bulk Genetics we work with seeds of proven quality. Amnesia is one of the most complete sativas around: resilient, rewarding, highly productive and potent. Everything any grower is looking for.
Is Amnesia sativa or indica?
Amnesia is a mostly sativa variety. Sativas tend to be tall and slender, with narrower leaves, and give an energising, cerebral effect. Indicas, on the other hand, are shorter and stockier, with broad leaves, and their effect tends to be more relaxing and body-focused. Amnesia combines vigorous growth with a stimulating effect that keeps you active and creative.
