Beldia feminised seeds
Beldia smells of the old Rif: honey, mint, dried flowers and that classic Moroccan hash and kif background that doesn’t need to shout to stay in your memory. It is a local line, born in the Moroccan mountains and linked for generations to areas such as Chefchaouen, Ketama and Al Hoceima.
This feminised Beldia keeps the character of a clearly sativa-dominant Moroccan landrace, compact for its heritage and much earlier than you would expect from a pure or near-pure sativa. It does not come from modern crosses with Skunk, Afghani or Haze, and it shows in its understated build, airy flowers and sandy resin, ideal for dry sifting and the traditional kif and hash making of the Rif.
In the grow it forms long, light buds, often with clustered foxtails. It makes no attempt to compete with modern high-yield hybrids; its value lies in its hardiness, speed and a clean, traditional, instantly recognisable resin profile.
How Beldia behaves in the grow
Our breeders see it as a variety suitable for attentive beginners: it copes with heat, drought, poor soils and light feeding, but appreciates good drainage, direct sun and low nitrogen. Indoors it can work well in a Sea of Green thanks to its apical dominance and restrained side branching.
Outdoors it is particularly at home in Mediterranean, semi-arid and well-ventilated climates. Growers who have run it outside report that it shrugged off early powdery mildew, heat, humidity and the odd missed watering, forming airy, foxtail-style colas. Some admit they harvested too late because they weren’t used to that structure, so check the trichomes and true ripeness rather than just the visual bulk.
Beldia effects
Beldia has moderate strength compared with many modern varieties, and that is part of its charm. The effect is usually quick, clear and social, with an alert mood, relaxed creativity and a light physical relaxation that doesn’t tend to leave you couch-locked.
The feedback we receive points the same way: a smooth, positive and functional smoke for sharing, gaming, chatting, walking or reflecting without losing the thread. Growers also mention its gentle smoke and a curing jar with citrus aromas over a sweet background, or raw honey, mint, eucalyptus and flowers, without the pungent smell of modern cannabis.
On the palate, Beldia moves like a dry breeze from the Rif: soft honey, sweet hay, fresh mint, wood and earthy spice. It doesn’t hit like a slammed door; it comes in like a long chat in the sun.

Is Beldia indica or sativa?
Beldia is a clearly sativa-dominant Moroccan landrace. Some selections are described as 100% sativa and others as 60% sativa and 40% indica, but overall it behaves as a light, early and very sativa-like plant.
Is Beldia suitable for beginners?
Yes, as long as you don’t overfeed it. It is a rustic, tough and low-maintenance plant, ideal for growers who can give it sun, good drainage and measured watering.
When is Beldia harvested outdoors?
Outdoors it can be ready from early August to late September, depending on phenotype, latitude and growing style. Its earliest expressions are part of its reputation among sativa landraces.
What is Beldia traditionally used for?
Beldia is the classic base genetic for traditional Moroccan hash and kif. Its sandy, easy-to-sift resin made it the backbone of dry-sift hash production across the Rif, from Ketama to Chefchaouen, long before modern hybrids arrived.
