Chocolope Haze

Chocolope Haze characteristics

Chocolope Haze feminised seeds

Chocolope Haze's hallmark is its unusual combination of cocoa, roasted coffee and sweetness on clearly sativa-dominant genetics. It comes from a Chocolate Thai x Cannalope Haze cross, designed to keep the aromatic, cerebral character of the old Chocolate Thai lines while bringing flowering down to a more manageable length.

In the grow it develops into a vigorous, tall, fast-growing plant. It tends to stretch upwards and forms long, resinous flowers covered in trichomes, usually green with orange, brown or reddish pistils. Some phenotypes also show purple tints.

The aroma can vary from plant to plant. Some lean more towards the cocoa, mocha and roasted coffee of Chocolate Thai; others show the sweet, fruity, melon-like side of Cannalope Haze more clearly. On the palate it keeps a blend of chocolate, coffee, earth and sweetness, with generally smooth smoke.

How Chocolope Haze behaves in the grow

Because of its vigour and stretch, our breeders rate it as an intermediate-level grow: it appreciates enough space, training and good air circulation. Flowering usually runs 9 to 10 weeks, although the more sativa-leaning expressions can take 10-12 weeks.

Outdoors, keep a close eye on high-humidity environments during flowering, as this genetic shows some sensitivity to excess moisture. A practical tip is to keep its height in check with training before the stretch starts eating into your space and to maintain good airflow around the buds.

Chocolope Haze effects

Its effect is mainly cerebral, clear-headed, euphoric and stimulating. It's associated with energy, creativity, sociability, motivation and good humour, so it suits daytime moments, social occasions, concentration or creative tasks particularly well. It isn't known for a heavy body feel or a particularly sedating effect.

Smokers agree on that character: they describe an effect that starts gentle and energising and gradually builds into euphoria with mental clarity, and they highlight its sociable, creative and cheerful side. As always, the experience varies from person to person.

On the senses, Chocolope Haze can come across like a cup of roasted coffee with cocoa and a sweet twist of melon: the darker, earthy tones come first, followed by the sweeter, fruitier side. That pairing of cocoa and cantaloupe melon, along with very smooth smoke, is mentioned time and again.
