The hallmark of this genetic line is its blend of abundant resin, faster flowering and an aroma that is hard to hide. GMO Fast Version starts from GMO, also known as Garlic Cookies or GMO Cookies, and crosses it with Think Fast to shorten the cycle while keeping much of the original line’s character.
Its base ties back to the Girl Scout Cookies x Chemdawg family, a heritage that brings strong indica influence, savoury, earthy aromas and highly visible trichome production. The cross with Think Fast gives a quicker photoperiod plant, with flowering of around 7-8 weeks compared with the 8–10 weeks of the classic GMO.
In the grow it shows vigorous growth, obvious stretch and the ability to gain plenty of height after a generous vegetative period. Buds can be chunky or more airy depending on the phenotype, usually light green to olive green, with orange pistils and a very heavy layer of white or purple-white trichomes. Reddish, purple or yellowish tones may appear towards the end.
Difficulty is moderate. Our breeders point out that the main thing to watch is controlling growth, stretch and the strong smell during flowering. It can be slow to leave the seedling stage at first, but once the roots are established it settles in and starts growing very vigorously.
It can form plants of around 130 cm, notably tall and dense, and too long a vegetative period can lead to considerable stretch. If space is tight, avoid extending that stage more than necessary. It can be grown both indoors and outdoors, where it appreciates a sunny, well-ventilated spot. Growers also highlight its heavy resin production and the shift towards reddish and purple tones at the end of the cycle.
The effect starts in the head, with a euphoric, creative and slightly stimulating phase that can keep the mind active early on. Physical relaxation then takes over, gradually settling into the body and limbs. At higher intensity it can turn into heaviness, sleepiness and something close to couch-lock.
Those who have tried it describe the same arc: a very relaxing, long-lasting and slightly stimulating effect. Dry mouth, dry eyes or dizziness may also occur. In the aroma, dominant caryophyllene combines with limonene and myrcene to create a spicy, earthy, herbal and deeply pungent profile, with garlic, onion, diesel, Skunk, pepper and a sweet, Cookies-style base.
