Moby's Somango

Moby's Somango characteristics

Moby's Somango feminised seeds

What defines Moby's Somango is the clash between a very pronounced tropical expression and a plant that is eager to grow. The Moby Dick x Somango cross aims to combine the more sativa-like structure and vigour of Moby Dick with the sweet, exotic and fruity character of Somango.

In the grow it develops a medium-tall frame, energetic growth and plenty of branching. During flowering it can form resinous, aromatic flowers, and some phenotypes may show dark or purple hues inherited from Somango. It is not a compact indica: it tends to spread out and responds well when that expansion is managed.

Its aromatic profile revolves around mango, ripe fruit, citrus and sweet tropical notes. The Moby Dick influence can add Haze, spicy, earthy, green or pine nuances, creating a profile with more layers than a purely fruity variety.

How Moby's Somango behaves in the grow

Our breeders rate it as low-to-medium difficulty thanks to its vigour and good response to training. Indoors, it is best to control height during pre-flowering with pruning, tying down or training techniques that spread the light more evenly. It also needs good ventilation and an environment without excess humidity to encourage healthy, well-formed flowers.

Outdoors it likes sunny, airy and stable climates. Flowering takes around 9–10 weeks. As a practical reference, growers who have worked with its Moby Dick parent line highlight good mould resistance even in fairly basic set-ups, with medium-sized plants and buds of medium density. These are observations about one of the parent lines, not guaranteed results for Moby's Somango.

Moby's Somango effects

The effect opens with a cheerful, creative and uplifting rise. The initial feeling is positive, active and mentally alert, which makes it particularly suited to creative or social moments. A progressive body relaxation follows, balancing the cerebral side without necessarily ending in heaviness.

THC is estimated at around 18–24 % in well-grown modern selections. There is no specific independent analysis confirming an exact figure for this genetic, so it should be read as an approximate reference based on the profiles of Moby Dick and Somango.

Overall, the experience fits its aromatic profile well: first comes the lively, fruity character, with mango, ripe fruit and citrus to the fore, while the effect moves from a bright mental phase into a more restful physical calm.
