Sour Jealousy’s most recognisable character shows as soon as its flowers mature: elongated, dense and sticky buds under a highly visible layer of trichomes. That resinous look suits genetics designed for growers who want frosty flowers with a strong aromatic expression.
It is a photoperiod variety with clear sativa dominance, producing vigorous, tall and open plants. Its internodes are relatively long, and the side branches can grow almost as large as the main cola when given enough space and a generous vegetative period.
Some phenotypes may show purple tones or multicoloured shades towards the end of flowering. The aroma combines sour lemon, lively citrus and penetrating diesel with earth, flowers, ripe fruit, Kush, pepper and a deep background note reminiscent of black truffle.
Our breeders describe it as vigorous and adaptable, although it is best to keep its stretch in check. Indoors, it responds well to LST, pruning and branch training. Growers highlight how easy it is to handle, how well it reacts to LST and how readily it takes topping, with strong lateral branching.
Flowering takes around 9–10 weeks, roughly 63–70 days, and it can take its time to finish properly. Outdoors, it appreciates good light, plenty of space and a stable climate. As a practical tip, open up and tidy the canopy so air can reach the inner branches, and do not let its vigorous growth pack the flowers too tightly.
Yields can be high with a long vegetative phase and proper management of light, feeding and ventilation. Its growing profile also points to thick, dense and very sticky buds, with outstanding resin production.
Its THC potential sits around 25–29% in potent, well-grown phenotypes, while CBD generally stays below 1%. The profile is clearly cerebral: euphoria, creativity, energy and an active, cheerful feeling that can last for quite some time.
It is not usually associated with a heavy body stone. It is described as an energetic experience, well suited to active moments or daytime use. Because of its mental drive and high potency, it may feel intense for people with a low tolerance.
On the palate it opens with a sharp sourness, followed by citrus and diesel before giving way to earth, flowers, sweetness and a spicy touch. The blend unfolds like a burst of sour lemon and fuel over an earthy base, while the effect keeps the mind awake and expansive.
