Critical CBG seeds
What sets Critical CBG apart from a conventional Critical is its cannabinoid profile. It keeps the vigour, speed and heavy yields of this family, but shifts the spotlight to roughly 7–9% CBG, with just 0.05–0.1% THC.
It is a feminised, indica-dominant genetics created from Critical Mass and a plant selected for its high CBG content. Behind it lie Afghani × Skunk #1 roots: the former brings dense flowers and a sturdy frame, while the Skunk influence is associated with fast growth, productivity and a strong aromatic character.
In the grow it develops into a medium-height, heavily branched plant that forms large, dense and heavy buds. That flower mass is one of its defining traits, and also something to keep an eye on as harvest approaches.
How Critical CBG behaves in the grow
Thanks to the ease and vigour it inherits from the Critical family, our breeders rate it as a low-difficulty genetics. It performs well both indoors and outdoors and usually finishes flowering in about 8 weeks, although the range can move between 7 and 9 depending on expression and conditions.
Indoors it can yield roughly 550 to 750 g/m². Outdoors it produces around 600 g per plant and can be ready by mid-September. Towards the end of flowering, add stakes if the branches start to bend and watch humidity closely, as the compact buds can raise the risk of mould. Outdoors it appreciates a climate that keeps humidity under control during the final stretch.
Effects of Critical CBG
With THC at around 0.05–0.1%, Critical CBG is a world away from the usual psychoactive punch of THC-rich Critical lines. Its sensations are described as relaxing, calm and body-focused, with mental calm and a generally clear, functional experience.
The experience varies from person to person. Many find it energising and suitable for daytime, with a particularly clean and clear feel, while in a few isolated cases some tiredness may appear. Treat these impressions as a guide rather than an established effect.
The aroma and flavour rest on a sweet and fruity base, with earthy and woody undertones. Its profile can also show deep earth, nuts, pine, herbs, spice and a citrus or fresh touch. After curing, the smoke is smooth, leaving that earthy, woody background that clearly ties it to the Critical family.
