Its flowering period is relatively short, from 54 to 63 days, allowing several harvests a year if managed well. Its compact yet sturdy indoor structure makes it ideal for small spaces and techniques such as ScrOG (Screen of Green), which helps make the most of the light and improve yields.

Outdoors, Runtz shows its full potential. Under optimal conditions it can reach impressive heights of 2.5 to 3 metres and yield up to 900 grams per plant. In the northern hemisphere, we recommend germinating the seeds in early spring to make the most of the season. Harvest usually comes between the first and second week of October, once the plants have soaked up as much sun as possible, which is key to dense, resinous buds.

How to grow Runtz

Runtz is a strain anyone can enjoy growing, from beginners to experts. With moderate growing difficulty, it is suitable if you are starting out with cannabis, but its true potential is unlocked with some experience and a little extra care.

For the best results, we recommend growing Runtz in warm, sunny climates, with daytime temperatures of 20–27 °C and slightly cooler nights of 15–22 °C. Indoors, keep relative humidity at around 55–60% during vegetative growth and lower it to 40% during flowering to avoid mould and mildew.

Runtz resists most pests and diseases, but it is always worth staying alert. Using a good substrate and providing the right nutrients at every stage is essential. Adding perlite, peat or coco helps retain moisture and improve soil aeration, creating an optimal environment for root development.
