Watermelon x Zkittlez

Watermelon x Zkittlez is a strain that brings together the best of two worlds by combining the delicious Watermelon with the popular Zkittlez. This indica/sativa hybrid stands out for its impressive lineage and unique traits, which have made it a favourite among growers. Its genetics are often mentioned alongside other legendary strains like Gelato, Cookies Z3 and Forbidden Fruit.

The Watermelon x Zkittlez plant has a compact, sturdy structure, perfect for both indoor and outdoor growing. Outdoors it can reach an average height of 2.5 metres in good conditions, with short internodes, large pale leaves and strong branches. Indoors its stretch is moderate, making it ideal for techniques such as SOG and SCROG.

The buds of Watermelon x Zkittlez are a real visual and sensory treat. They are fat, elongated and hard, with a tendency to take on beautiful reddish hues. They are also coated in a thick layer of resin that makes them sparkle as if covered in crystals. This not only gives them an attractive look but also makes them ideal for producing high-quality extracts and concentrates.

With colours ranging from dark olive green to purple, flecked with fine orange hairs, the buds of Watermelon x Zkittlez are quite a sight. This mix of colours and density makes the plant as beautiful as it is productive, winning over novice and expert growers alike.

Flavour and effects

Watermelon x Zkittlez takes you on a sensory journey from the very first moment. Its aroma is an explosion of sweetness and tropical fruit reminiscent of watermelon and fresh grapes. When you smoke it, its outrageously delicious flavour unfolds on the palate with sweet, fruity notes that will delight your taste buds like never before.

The effects of Watermelon x Zkittlez are as striking as its flavour. With THC levels reaching 25%, this strain offers a very potent experience. From the first puff you will feel a cheerful, euphoric rush running through your body, followed by deeply relaxing sensations. This combination makes it perfect for a creative day or a quiet night in. Its CBD content is low, below 1%, so the psychoactive effect of the THC is felt even more.

Watermelon x Zkittlez terpenes

Watermelon x Zkittlez stands out for its complex terpene profile, which contributes flavour and aroma and gives its effect its character. The main terpenes are:

• Alpha-humulene: adds earthy, spicy aromas that give depth to the flavour.
• Beta-caryophyllene: found in the aroma of spices and pepper, it adds a warm, peppery touch and is typical of mellow, relaxing strains.
• Linalool: with a floral lavender aroma, it is associated with calm, laid-back strains, perfect for switching off at the end of the day.
• D-limonene: brings a fresh citrus aroma and is associated with an energising, cheerful, upbeat effect.
• Myrcene: common in indicas, it has an earthy, musky aroma and is typical of relaxing strains with a deep body effect.

These terpenes work together to deliver a unique experience that combines euphoric and relaxing effects, making Watermelon x Zkittlez an excellent choice for many different moments.

Yield and flowering time

Watermelon x Zkittlez stands out not only for its flavour and effects but also for its generous yield. Indoors it can produce between 500 and 600 grams per square metre, especially under a 300-350 W LED light. It adapts well to techniques such as SOG and SCROG, which let you fill large growing areas in just a few weeks.

Outdoors, Watermelon x Zkittlez shows its full potential. In good conditions, plants can reach 2 to 2.5 metres tall and produce between 900 and 1000 grams per plant. Its sturdiness and resilience make it perfect for a wide range of climates, and its short flowering period allows for early harvests.

The flowering time of Watermelon x Zkittlez is relatively short. Indoors, from the switch to the flowering photoperiod, it takes around 60-65 days before you can harvest the most aromatic, sticky flowers you can imagine. Outdoors, flowering begins in the first half of August and harvest comes between late September and early October, making it ideal if you want fast, effective results.

How to grow Watermelon x Zkittlez

At Bulk Genetics we believe Watermelon x Zkittlez is a strain that suits novice and expert growers perfectly. It is fairly easy to grow thanks to its resilience and sturdiness, making it ideal for any environment, indoors or out.

For the best results, we recommend growing it in a temperate to warm climate. The plant copes well with different conditions thanks to its fast flowering, which lets it dodge the bad autumn weather outdoors. Indoors, keeping a steady temperature of 20-25 °C and suitable relative humidity is key to maximising the yield and quality of the buds.

One of the standout features of Watermelon x Zkittlez is its resistance to pests and diseases. This strain shows remarkable tolerance to insects and common mould problems, which greatly reduces the need for chemical treatments and makes the grow easier to manage.
