Big Bud Regular is a very hardy variety that delivers first-class harvests without much care. It is a famous Dutch genetic line and the forerunner of Critical Mass. Reaching an average height of 2–2.5 metres, it has a very short flowering period of about 8 weeks. It produces enormous buds, rock-hard and extremely resinous. It is one of the easiest plants to grow and is often recommended to beginners who want an excellent harvest without spending much time looking after it.
Outdoors you will get discreet plants of 2–2.5 metres with a typical Christmas-tree structure: long, thick branches that get shorter towards a big main cola.
The flowering period is very short, as it is harvested at the end of September. In areas with short summers it will be drying before the first rains arrive.
Indoors it is just as easy and poses no challenge beyond always getting the maximum yield. It is perfect for SOG grows from small clones, as it tends to concentrate production in huge main colas.
From the switch to the flowering photoperiod, it is ready in just 55 days. In this phase, because of its Skunk genes, you will need a good carbon filter to deal with the very intense smell.
Yields are very high, higher than many taller strains: up to 900 grams per plant outdoors. Indoors, with a 300–350 W LED, it produces up to 600 grams per m².
