Critical XXL Auto is one of the most complete autoflowers around. Critical XXL Auto is the super-productive autoflowering version of Mr Nice’s legendary Critical Mass, one of the most widely grown varieties in history. It is highly rated by growers, who praise its spectacular results and recommend it without hesitation.
It is a perfect indica-dominant hybrid, a Skunk x Afghani cross. It is especially famous for being outstanding in every respect.
Today it is available in both feminised and autoflowering versions, and it has served as the base for many new varieties, which inherit much of its best traits.
It is one of the easiest cannabis plants to grow. It is hardy like few others, grows vigorously in any conditions and always leaves the grower happy.
In favourable conditions it can reach an impressive height of 1.5 metres. It is not the smallest or most discreet autoflower, but it is one of the most productive.
It has a very short vegetative phase and starts flowering after just 3-4 weeks. During this period, avoid transplanting, as it causes stress and the plant may stall for a few very precious days.
At Bulk Genetics we recommend using a large pot with a quality substrate from day one. That way the plant can reach its maximum size before flowering kicks in. All in all, it is ready to harvest about 8-9 weeks from germination, and you can run up to 3 grows back to back between spring and summer.
This genetic produces competition-grade buds: big, rock-hard and very resinous. In humid environments you will need good ventilation to avoid mould problems.
Its aroma and flavour stay true to its Critical mother, with a clear citrus, fruity and skunky touch over a piney background. Skunk hybrids are also famous for their strong smell, so indoors a good odour-control system is advisable.
The effects are very powerful. It kicks off with a very psychoactive high inherited from its sativa genes, but the sensations soon turn deeply relaxing and peaceful. It is a perfect variety for the end of the day.
Yields are very high: up to 200 grams outdoors on the largest plants. Indoors, with 300-350 W of LED lighting, you can reach 550 grams per m².

Its vegetative phase is very fast: it starts flowering 3-4 weeks after germination.
From germination, it is ready to harvest in a total of 54-63 days.
It is one of the easiest plants to grow and a firm favourite with beginners. Use a large pot from the start, avoid transplanting and make sure there is good ventilation: indoors or outdoors, it always delivers great harvests.
At first the effect is euphoric and energetic, but it soon becomes very relaxing.
