GMO Cookies
GMO Cookies offers you a unique experience with its potent relaxing effect and its unmistakable flavour of garlic and onion. Ideal as a relaxing night-time variety, it delivers an abundant harvest of top quality, perfect whether you are just starting out or already experienced.
Also known as Garlic Cookies or simply GMO, GMO Cookies is a variety born from crossing two powerhouse genetics: Chemdog D and Girl Scout Cookies, bringing together the best of both worlds. Originally developed by the Spanish breeders at Mamiko Seeds, our GMO Cookies comes from an elite clone that stands out for its sweet, intense flavour.
This hybrid is indica-dominant, with 90 % indica and 10 % sativa genetics. It has the compact structure typical of indicas, which makes it ideal for small grow spaces. Its buds are a visual treat: deep olive green, flecked with purple hues and threaded with curly orange hairs. All under a frosty blanket of trichomes that is not only beautiful but also points to a high concentration of cannabinoids and terpenes.
Flavour and effects
The flavour of GMO Cookies is an explosion of sensations. From the first toke you will enjoy a blend of coffee, earthy and fruity notes, with a sweet touch that rounds everything off. But what really sets it apart is its unmistakable garlic and onion flavour, a bold combination that is unique in the cannabis world. This distinctive profile led many growers to see it as the big newcomer of 2017.
The aroma of GMO Cookies is just as impressive. It fills the room with a strong, penetrating fragrance reminiscent of spices and earth, with a hint of diesel inherited from its Chemdog lineage. This complexity of flavour and aroma makes every toke unique and memorable.
With THC of 25 % to 30 %, GMO Cookies delivers a potent, long-lasting effect: intense euphoria and deep relaxation that envelops body and mind. It is perfect if you want to switch off and sink into total relaxation. Its low CBD content (less than 1 %) lets the THC express itself at full intensity.
GMO Cookies terpenes
The terpenes in GMO Cookies play a key role in its flavour and its effect. The most prominent include:
- Myrcene: with an earthy, musky aroma, typical of relaxing, body-focused varieties. It is key to the deep relaxation GMO Cookies provides.
- Caryophyllene: with a spicy, peppery aroma, it adds a warm touch that rounds off the flavour and contributes to its full-bodied character.
- Pinene: brings a fresh, piney aroma and adds an extra layer of complexity to the variety’s bouquet.
These terpenes not only enrich the flavour and aroma of GMO Cookies but also shape its effect, giving you a complete and satisfying experience. Every toke is a sensory journey that combines the best of nature with the meticulous work of its breeders.
Yield and flowering time
GMO Cookies is a great choice thanks to its versatility and adaptability. It thrives in a wide range of environments and gives generous yields both indoors and outdoors.
In indoor growing, GMO Cookies has a moderate flowering time, usually 8 to 10 weeks. During this time it develops dense, resinous buds that are a real treat. In optimal conditions you can expect around 450 to 550 grams per square metre. Techniques such as ScrOG (Screen of Green) help maximise yield and spread the light evenly, boosting the development of the lower flowers.
In outdoor growing, its performance is just as impressive. In suitable climates it can reach 3 metres in height. Outdoor flowering usually finishes in early October, so it is ideal in the Northern Hemisphere if you sow in April. Under the sun, each plant can produce up to 800 grams, for an abundant, high-quality harvest.
GMO Cookies stands out for its resilience and robustness, so it adapts to different growing methods. Whether in indoor pots with LED lighting and good ventilation or in a sunny outdoor garden, GMO Cookies guarantees a satisfying harvest. Its moderate difficulty and its ability to thrive in varied conditions make it a great addition to any collection.
How to grow GMO Cookies
GMO Cookies has a moderate grow difficulty: manageable if you are just starting out and rewarding if you already have experience. Although it is a robust, hardy plant, it needs some attention and specific care to give its best.
For the best results, it is essential to keep the climate and conditions right. GMO Cookies thrives in warm, sunny climates. Indoors, keep daytime temperatures between 20 °C and 27 °C and slightly cooler at night. Relative humidity should be 55 % to 60 % in the vegetative stage, drop to around 40 % in flower and settle at 30 % by harvest. Outdoors, the best time to sow is April, making sure the plants get plenty of hours of direct sun.
GMO Cookies is known for its robustness and its resistance to the most common pests and diseases. Even so, we recommend keeping a clean environment and checking your plants regularly to spot any sign of pests or disease early. Organic pesticides and good hygiene will help you keep your plants healthy and productive.
